Prematurity is the #1 killer of babies in the United States. We are working to change that and help more moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. From polio to prematurity, the March of Dimes has focused on researching the problems that threaten our children and finding ways to prevent them.


S t. Jude's Children's Research Hospital

The mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.

Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City

Helping Kansas City families build strength, stability, and self-relieance through shelter. Habitat of Kansas City is the seventh oldest affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. 

Youth Volunteer Corps

YVC creates volunteer opportunities to address community needs and to inspire youth for a lifetime commitment to service. (YVC began in 1987 as a summer service program for Kansas City youth. Today, YVC is a network of affiliated organizations across the U.S. and Canada running that same program by engaging youth ages 11-18 in team-based, structured, diverse, flexible service-learning opportunities.

Catholic Charities of Kansas City - St. Joseph

The mission of Catholic Charities is to answer the commandment of Jesus Christ to love through service, advocacy, and empowerment of the vulnerable and those in need throughout northern and western Missouri. CCKC meets this mission through programs for adoption, housing, emergency service, deaf and disability services, veterans' services, and much more.

H illcrest Transitional Housing

Hillcrest Transitional Housing offers homeless families, singles and youth a disciplined educational program within a caring, supportive environment. Unlike many organizations whose focus is one-time or emergency care, Hillcrest’s primary objective is to move clients from homelessness to self-sufficiency by addressing the total life situation of the homeless families they serve.

The University of Kansas Cancer Center

The University of Kansas Cancer Center offers more options and more hope. While they treat all forms of cancer, most doctors often focus on just one type. This disease-specific approach allows them to expand their knowledge of innovative treatments and clinical trials for individual types of cancer.  Cancer affects people in a deeply personal way. The KU Cancer Center's multidisciplinary team of oncologists and cancer surgeons work with patients to develop a comprehensive, individualized treatment strategy. 

V eterans Community Project

Veterans Community Project is dedicated to supporting every man and woman who took the oath for our country. They are determined to make a difference in the lives of homeless Veterans, a task accomplished by the community for the community.   They are building a specialized community of tiny-homes and onsite services to provide housing stability and address the underlying cause of the Veteran’s homelessness. 

Armani's Angels

Armani's Angels is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds to assist in the treatment of ill or injured animals. When families cannot afford veterinary care for their animals, Armani's Angels is there to help.

Hope House

The mission of Hope House is to break the cycle of domestic violence by providing safe refuge and supportive services that educate and empower those impacted by domestic violence. Hope House will advocate social change that protects and engenders a person’s right to live a life free of abuse.
